On Friday, October 12th the Barat Education Foundation hosted a reception introducing their 2007 Barat
Scholars to Barat College alumnae, women leaders and Foundation board members.
The Foundation sponsored six Barat Scholars' participation as Young Leader/Fellows at the International
Women's Forum World Leadership Conference and Gala. The theme was appropriately entitled
"Women Who Change The World - Shaping the Future." The conference and gala were hosted at
The Palmer House Hilton, October 11-12, 2007.
Two very special woman leaders from Chicago were invited as honorary guest speakers: Honorable
Joy Cunningham, Illinois Appellate Court Judge - First District and Honorable Anne M. Burke, Illinois
Supreme Court Justice - First District.
