Your Contributions Support The Programs of the Foundation

We recognize that there are many worthwhile organizations and charities that seek your financial support, and we realize that you are only able to commit to the extent your individual ability.  As a Barat College alumnae/i or friend, you have a vested interest in our programs to perpetuate the heritage and legacy of the College and Madeleine Sophie Barat, foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart.

Our initiatives encompass programs that look to the future: building tomorrow’s women leaders, developing good citizenship, providing educational opportunities through scholarships and grants; and building partnerships that expand our programs to a wider community of service.

You are vital to these initiatives.  We need your financial support and we need you as a volunteer.  Both are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are always needs for your valuable talent and time.  We are currently cataloging the extensive archives from the nine decades of Barat College.  Identifying photographs and artifacts is a painstaking – but richly rewarding – task.

In particular, we are preparing for the 150th year of Catholicism in Chicago, in cooperation with the Chicago Historical Museum.  This 2008 commemorative year is important to the legacy of Barat College and the remarkable graduates who have distinguished themselves both in Chicago and across the nation.

To volunteer, please call Maureen Ryan, Executive Director of the Foundation, at 847.574.2546 or go to our Contact page (click here).

Bequests
